Accusations against Artur Vanetsyan illegal, content of case incomprehensible: lawyer
Artur Vanetsyan has been arrested illegally, lawyer Lusine Sahakyan told the reporters, adding that they appealed to court disputing the legality of the arrest.
“The preliminary investigation body, realizing the illegality of the arrest again forwarded new accusations again illegality allegedly for preparations for usurpation of power and assassination of Pashinyan. The accusation is illegal, the content incomprehensible, the essence of the accusation has not been clarified,” she said, adding that naturally Vanetsyan does not admit the accusations.
The lawyer said they demanded cross-examination with all those who testified against him.
The lawyers demanded that the speakers of the phone conversation published by the NSS be revealed and cross-examination be organized.
“By now no proof has been presented, no cross examination has been conducted. We have learnt about the conversation from media,” he said.
Sahakyan qualified the accusations against Vanetsyan as political persecution.
