Artur Vanetsyan charged, does not admit absurd accusations – lawyers

Investigative group hastily charged leader of Homeland party Artur Vanetsyan to ensure entry of arrest petition to the court to examine it in parallel with the petition to recognize arrest unlawful, lawyers Lusine Sahakyan and Yervand Varosyan told the reporters.

According to the charges, Vanetsyan, reaching initial arrangement with Ashot Avagyan, Vahram Baghdasaryan and Ashot Minasyan, deliberately creating other conditions, prepared assassination attempt of a state figure and usurpation of power.

“Naturally Artur Vanetsyan has not admitted the absurd accusations. We are convinced that the attempts to arrest Artur Vanetsyan in the sidelines of the illegal criminal persecution are condemned, and the court will not join the shameful capitulation act of Armenia and will not stand by the side of a person who signed it,” the lawyers said.
