Ex top military official says Armenia’s SU fighters have no ammunition
SU-30 SM, SU 23-2, OSA-AK acquired by Armenia have not been used during the war, ex-chief of the Ministry of Defense Control Service Movses Hakobyan said at a press conference today.
“They acquired it, because they did not know what the war is. After the contract on acquiring SU-30 I personally told the prime minister that they will answer for it. The prime minister said “we already did it.” They acquired the weapon not reading that with the decision of the government of the Russian Federation it is banned to sell it to the second country,” Hakobyan said.
He said this is why our SU-30 are in the air without ammunition. Hakobyan also stressed that the Armenian side acquired Osa-AK knowing that missiles are not being produced foe them and if some parts go wrong, it cannot be repaired.
“They hastily acquired something to say “we closed the air.” Did they? How many UAVs were shot down? From what weapon? IGLA and TOR,” Hakobyan stressed.
