Mobilization in Karabakh was carried out at 78% in Armenia at 52% - ex top MOD official
Mobilization was not carried out and responsible for it is Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, minister of defense, military inspectors, minister of territorial administration and not the chief of staff of the Armed Forces, former head of MOD’s Control Service Movses Hakobyan said at a press conference today.
“Crime has been committed, on the third day the leadership of the country stopped the mobilization deciding to send volunteers on the front line, I have no idea of the substantiation of the decision. The mobilization in Karabakh was carried out at 78% in Armenia at 52%. Besides, with a secret decision five regiments were reduced,” Hakobyan said.
He stressed that it was to be done in 40 hours and from this all the problems started.
He said it is very complicated process.
“From all the functions of the army, this is the most complicated one. It is necessary to be honest and while blaming the political leadership say that there is a mistake of militaries too. Part of these mistakes are objective and part subjective. The objective ones are that the areas were the replenishment was necessary was seriously shelled from the artillery and the UAVs were not allowing to do it. The commanders were to make operative decisions and change the form of mobilization,” Hakobyan said.
