Armenia's MFA: Recent atrocities of Azerbaijani side based on anti-Armenian policy instigated and encouraged by Azeri leadership for decades
After the statement on the cessation of hostilities of November 9, the Azerbaijani armed forces continue their typical unique “war” against the Armenian historical-cultural and religious heritage, destroying and disrespecting historical sites and monuments, Armenia's MFA said in a statement on the manifestations of barbarism by the Azerbaijani armed forces.
"The statue of the Armenian commander Vazgen Sargsyan, the national hero of Armenia in the city of Shushi in Artsakh, was among Azerbaijan’s targets.
▪️The humiliating attitude of the Azerbaijani soldiers towards the elderly citizen of Artsakh conditioned exclusively by his ethnic origin is strongly deplorable. That step, as well as its praise by the Azerbaijani society is simply a rejection of the accepted moral values.
▪️The folder of factual evidence about Azerbaijan's anti-Armenian and racist policy is being enriched day by day due to the publication of videos praising the war crimes committed by the Azerbaijani armed forces in the territories of Artsakh that feel under Azerbaijan’s occupation.
▪️It should be underlined that the implementation of the military operations and the respect demonstrated towards the civilian population differ regular troops from the irregular terrorist fighters and the states from the terrorist organizations.
▪️The recent atrocities of the Azerbaijani side are based on the anti-Armenian policy instigated and encouraged by the leadership of Azerbaijan for decades, which as before has been aimed at carrying out ethnic cleansing and genocidal aspirations against the Armenians of Artsakh," MFA said in the statement.
