Thirty civilians missing, death of 11 of them confirmed – Artsakh Ombudsman
We must not forget about having interned persons and missing civilians and the full analysis regarding them is being implemented by Artsakh Human Rights Ombudsman as they all were in Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan said.
“According to our approximate calculations from the very beginning we had 30 missing civilians the fate of part of them has been clarified. We have confirmed cases that they are civilian interned persons and are under control of Azerbaijan and the ICRC established contacts. I will not now voice numbers,” he said.
Beglaryan said according to the information he has, 11 people have died of which 7 after the war. “During the ceasefire their bodies were returned to us or found by Rescue Service in relevant places. All seven were killed and now forensic medical examination is underway. There are traces of strangulation and torture, including post-mortal, including cutting ears, removing eyeballs, beheading attempts, post-mortal stabbing,” Artak Beglaryan said.
At the same time he said Azerbaijanis disseminated few videos of beheading alive civilians and cutting their ears.
“I am not even speaking about other cases, inhuman attitude, mockery, etc. We analyze all these cases, identify the people, present to Red Cross and the Russian side. Here the chief responsible and the only criminal is Azerbaijan which obviously delays the process,” Artsakh Ombudsman said.
