Violence against prisoners of war should be excluded – Armenia’s PM
There are a number of urgent issues in Nagorno Karabakh, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the CSTO Council session today.
“First of all it is the issue of prisoners of war, captives, other arrested people, the issue of exchange of bodies of killed and revealing the fate of the missing. These are urgent issues. The Armenian side is ready to intensify actions to accelerate the process and increase the efficiency of its implementation. It is necessary to exclude the cases of violence and humiliation of dignity of prisoners of war, arrested,” Pashinyan said.
He stressed the necessity of creating conditions for return of Artsakh people to their homeland and restoration of their normal life in Nagorno Karabakh.
“People must be convinced in their security and continue living on their land. Tens of thousands of residents of Artsakh returned to their homes and we are exerting all the efforts to help and assist our compatriots,” he stressed, adding that steps are necessary to protect the cultural and religious monuments of the Armenian people in the territories occupied by Azerbaijani authorities.
