Putin – Armenia passed very hard time in its history, but made decisions very necessary

Armenia and its people passed very hard time in their history but the made decision was a necessity, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said at the CSTO Council session on Wednesday.

“Really, Armenia and the Armenian people passed a very hard time in their history and the leadership of Armenia, and the head of the government, the prime minister were forced to make very hard decisions, but necessary for the people,” Putin said.

He described the decisions “painful but necessary”, stressing that making them demanded big personal courage from Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan.

“It is an obvious thing. Each of the present at today’s meeting understands the degree of responsibility while making such kind of decisions. He [Nikol Pashinyan] took the responsibility,” Putin said, adding that the issue of the CSTO partners is to support Armenia’s PM and his team to establish peaceful life and reach the implementation of all decisions and help the people who appeared in hard situation.
