Yerevan offers Baku “all for all” principle in exchange of captives
Armenia’s deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan received on December 2 Russia’s ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.
The deputy PM expressed gratitude to the Russian side for the core role in stopping hostilities in Artsakh and establishment of ceasefire.
During the meeting they thoroughly discussed the process of exchange of captives, works on searching the missing and finding the bodies of killed.
The deputy PM stressed that the mentioned issues are the priorities on the agenda of the Armenian government with everything being done to accelerate the process as much as possible.
Tigran Avinyan said that in the issue of exchange of captives the Armenian side offers to apply “all for all” principle. Besides, it offers to create a mechanism according to which in case of having captives in future the both sides should immediately and without pre-conditions return them.
The ambassador in his turn noted that the issues of captives, missing and finding bodies of killed are in the focus of Russia’s highest leadership.
Avinyan also emphasized Russia’s assistance in solution of humanitarian issues of Artsakh population.
He also stressed the importance of free entrance of international humanitarian organizations to Artsakh.
