Armenia's PM says 600 bodies retrieved since November 9, 135 identified, returned to families
After November 9 we succeeded to retrieve over 600 bodies, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the address to the people today.
“Over 500 bodies are in the process of identification. With more probability these bodies are the bodies of our brothers considered missing,” he said.
The PM said a DNA test is being made for their identification which though is a long lasting process.
“Since November 9, 135 bodies have been identified and handed to the relatives. The process will continue,” Pashinyan said.
He said there is a group of missing over who he would not like to speak about now.
“I want to say that concrete works are being carried out in connection with them, but I cannot talk about it now,” the PM stressed.
He said after identification of the majority of bodies a mourning day will be declared.
