One of first steps taken by Pashinyan was beheading Artsakh army – united opposition candidate
Armenia again faces the issues it faced in 1988 and all these issues must be settled, united opposition candidate Vazgen Manukyan said at the rally today.
“There is a saying if you solve an issue and fail you should not change the issue but your methods. The issue must be settled but not in this situation. How we believed in these sweet words, and what happened with Armenia, we became enemies to one another,” Vazgen Manukyan stressed.
He stressed that one of the first steps Nikol Pashinyan took was beheading Artsakh army.
“The best commanders of Artsakh who had experience were removed from the army. During the war when I was in Karabakh they were waiting at the door, Nikol wrote a list who had right to enter the headquarters. And these generals had no right to enter the headquarters. Armenia’s army was being humiliated. We lost all our allies. A powerful ally like Russia lost trust toward us, China turned its face, Iran was not trusting us and so alone we moved forward. And the self-contradicting statements of Nikol Pashinyan everyday approached the war,” Vazgen Manukyan said.
He said from the very first day illiterate and treacherous decisions were made.
“We could have prevented, won, or end the war earlier with less losses. Nothing of it happened. Now the second shame is added – neither of peoples of the world understand the Armenians – how the leader who successively took the nation to defeat is still at the wheel of power. Nothing of this happens in the world,” Manukyan said.
