Karabakh president resigns as leader of Free Homeland party, to approve new cabinet
President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan stated about resigning as leader of Free Homeland party.
“I have made a decision to resign as leader of the Free Homeland party and leave it so as to act as non-party president of the Nagorno Karabakh as a person who can consolidate the society in this critical time,” Harutyunyan said in his address on Wednesday.
He said he is ready to leave the post of the president too but only after the republic is ready to overcome the trials of presidential and parliamentary elections with dignity.
Harutyunyan also stressed that in the upcoming days he is ready to confirm the new structure of the government, optimize different structures, raise the efficiency of the work.
Besides new cabinet will be approved, changes will be made, including in power structures.
