Artsakh president edits his address, says will leave politics after snap elections in Artsakh

In his edited address president of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan stated that he will step down at the first opportunity and in reasonable timeframe snap elections will be conducted in Artsakh in which he will not run and will leave politics.

In not edited version of his address, Harutyunyan presented the situation in the following way: “At the same time, realizing the public and political moods emerged as a result of the war in respect to the need of my resignation from the post of the President of the Republic I would like to note that I am ready to resign at the very first opportunity when the Republic [Artsakh] is ready to overcome the difficulties of presidential and parliamentary elections properly and with dignity in regard to internal and external conditions and constitutional regulations.”
