I must disappoint you, PM will not resign either in a week or a month – Lori governor
Majority of people today support Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and it is obviously seen, newly appointed governor of Lori Aram Khachatryan told the reporters after cabinet sitting today.
“We will wait for regular elections, in 2023 the people will express their opinion through elections,” he said.
Khachatryan said there is no issue of snap elections on their agenda.
Asked by Aysor.am whether people demanding Pashinyan’s resignation are not people, the newly appointed governor said, “I treat these people with big respect, it is their right to express, to criticize, but they are not the majority of the people.”
He stressed that today people do not take to streets while in 2018 the Republic Square was full of people.
“And not only the square, the people in provinces took to streets too,” he said.
“I must disappoint you but the prime minister will resign neither in a week, nor in a month,” he said.
“It is not because I want so, but the people do not demand it,” he stressed.
