Some parts of Azerbaijani border are few meters from Goris, some parts even enter community – Goris community deputy head

Every day we hear that it is not about Armenia’s state borders, but by now no response has been received on which is Syunik’s state border though we know it very well, deputy head of Goris community told the reporters.

He said the demarcation implemented by the authorities are made with the principles of Turks.

“We do not want to agree as Syunik province appears in danger. If the process continues we will definitely lose Syunik. We are not going to be part of these corrupt process,” he said.

According to him the only way out is the immediate resignation of the authorities who do not control the situation.

“There are parts where Azerbaijan’s border is just in few meters from Goris community, there are parts were it enters the community, it means the key road feeding Armenia is endangered,” he said, stressing that he is not sure that the Russian border guards will guarantee the security of Syunik residents with 100%.

Residents of Syunik today again closed the road protesting against the order to hand over favorable positions of Kapan to the enemy today by 5 p.m.
