Nikol Pashinyan and his team have no political future – Ara Saghatelyan

Nikol Pashinyan and his team have no political future, former head of Armenia’s NA staff Ara Saghatelyan told PastInfo news agency.

He stressed that the fairy-tales about snap elections will not do anything as the clams that Pashinyan’s team enjoys the trust of the majority do not correspond to reality.

Saghatelyan stressed that simple mathematical calculations testify it.

“At the time the political force headed by Pashinyan received 70% votes of about 50% of voters that took part in polls. In reality they received 34,14% votes of total voters. It was their peak, when all were waiting for changes, when all were trusting, wanted to live well and happy. Evidently, this 34% have long gone,” Saghatelyan said.

He stressed that if elections are conducted now 65-70% of voters will participate in them and the group headed by Pashinyan will get 10-20% of votes.

“Appearing in the parliament in minority they will face a number of political and legal processes,” he stressed.

Saghatelyan said Pashinyan must leave politics and give people who once believed him and today regret it but from some fears continue standing by him a chance of “de-nikolization.”
