Prior issue of return of captives remains unsolved, instead communication issues are settled - PAP faction secretary assesses PM's visit to Moscow negative
Secretary of Prosperous Armenia faction Arman Abovyan negatively assesses the visit of Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Moscow.
Speaking to Aysor.am he stressed that no issue urgent for the Armenian side has been recorded, adding that the key issue of return of captives and missing has not received any solution.
“My impression is that the carriage has been put ahead of the horse. Not solving the fundamental issue they are speaking about communications. It is necessary to stress that the negotiations are being held between Azerbaijan and Armenia and Russia has more brokering role. The person representing the defeated country is not able to solve the issues he was making pompous statements of which before departing to Moscow,” Abovyan said.
As to the people who consider the developments in Moscow as Armenia’s victory, Abovyan said they are either manipulating, or do not understand what the victory is.
“Turkey will finally implement its 100-year old dream with Azerbaijan through Armenia’s territory. Is it victory? They say it is so good we will have railway communication with Russia and Iran. Is it victory? Today we have thousands of captives, casualties and finally the situation over Artsakh is not settled either diplomatically or politically, there is not a sign for it to be settled. It is clear that they are trying to manipulate,” Abovyan said.
