November 9 statement not document on conflict settlement, it is about ceasefire and end of war – Armenia’s FM

I agree with Mr Popov that Artsakh status was the most significant principle in the conflict settlement, was and is, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian told the reporters today after closed meeting with the deputies of My Step faction.

“November 9 statement is not settlement document, it is a document on ceasefire and the end of war which includes few of the fundamental principles. But the conflict cannot be considered settled as not all the principles have been implemented, in particular the issue of the status,” the minister said.

Referring to the PM’s article and the response of the Russian co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov to it, Aivazian said, “The Prime Minister said what he said, Popov commented. He took the PM’s words out of context. The PM said quite another thing.”
