Artsakh Diocese of Armenian Church has a new Primate
Archbishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan has been appointed Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church with the decision of Armenia’s Catholicos Karekin II.
Before this appointment Archbishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan served as Spiritual Primate of the Armenian Armed Forces.
He has been replaced by Rev. Yenovk Yesayan.
It has been reported earlier that Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan was relieved from the post of the Primate of Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Church and appointed special envoy.
