Discussions over Karabakh status should be left for future - Medvedev
Issue of Nagorno Karabakh status is impossible to settle and discuss now, deputy president of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stated today.
“I believe that today it is obvious for all that the issue of the status in reality has not been solved, but it should not be discussed now as any electrization in this field – discussions over status – create big tension. It is impossible to do it now,” Medvedev told Russian media.
He reminded that the position of the parties in this issue is very different and there are discussions even inside Armenia.
“I want to remind that Armenia has not recognized Karabakh’s independence. With unknown reason they forget somehow about it but in reality it is so. Thus, it is better to postpone the issue of status for future,” Medvedev said.
