Until Armenia faces budget deficit the absolute growth of the state debt is unavoidable – minister
Armenia’s minister of finance Atom Janjughazyan stated at the cabinet sitting today that until Armenia faces budget deficit the absolute growth of the state debt is unavoidable.
“But it is just a part of the story, besides absolute growth the relative figures are too being taken into account – the gross figure which is being used to assess the burden of the debt is the debt-gross domestic product ratio, in this case, the volume of burden of the state debt for the economy is being revealed,” the minister said.
Janjughazyan stressed that currently Armenia, at least until 2019 has been assessed as a country with low burden of debt.
