This capitulator was elected by people guided by forces with who I had nothing in common – Serzh Sargsyan
Armenia’s third president Serzh Sargsyan said he saw incumbent PM Nikol Pashinyan just thrice.
“These capitulator appeared in my field of view in early 90s, more exactly in late 1993 when I was defense minister for a few months and when after numerous success we had some issues in the front and by manipulating these issues, bringing facts not corresponding to reality, with unreasonable criticism he was hurting us, not only me, but my combat friends,” Serzh Sargsyan said in an interview to Armnews.
He said second time they met in court in 90s.
“The last time we met in 2018 in Marriot hotel. There was no other meeting or mediated contacts,” Sargsyan said, stressing that he met him only three times.
The third president said he was happy not to have any contacts with Pashinyan during his tenure as he [Sargsyan] did not have such a wish at all.
Sargsyan also refuted the opinion that Nikol Pashinyan is his project.
“As to the talks that this capitulator is my project, it is just ridiculous, I would not like such project even to my enemy, moreover for myself... The capitulator is not my project. He is the project of the forces with who I could not have anything in common. I only had contradictions with them. Contradictions in regard that my ideas about the development of Armenia and Artsakh essentially differed from the ideas of that forces,” Sargsyan said.
He stressed that the people elected the capitulator, “let our deceived people, guided by these forces and all those spreading this thesis, not try to lay this blame on me.”
Sargsyan said he was either to use force which he said would have resulted in losses or made decision to leave without shocks.
