Authorities tell the people 7 regions are theirs but in parallel conduct negotiations on handing them over – Bright Armenia faction head

If the territories were to be handed over to Azerbaijan no investments should have been made there, head of Bright Armenia faction Edmon Marukyan told the reporters on Wednesday.

“It was told we negotiate to protract and will not give anything. President Sargsyan now says they have always neem on the line that this way should be followed and criticizes “no piece of land.” Now I ask if it was so the issue should have been settled quickly and not the money of the Armenian people, Diaspora and tax payers be invested in these territories,” Marukyan said.

He also referred to Artsakh Constitution which says that the 7 regions are considered the territory of Artsakh.

Marukyan stressed that the people were told that these territories are theirs but on the other hand conducted negotiations over handing them over.
