Attorney confirms - political prisoner Ara Saghatelyan not allowed to see his wife and child, make phone calls

The decision of investigator to put a ban on phone calls and visits of family members of former head of NA staff Ara Saghatelyan is unlawful, his attorney Hakob Yenokyan told Pastinfo.

Earlier deputy from Bright Armenia faction Gevorg Gorgisyan stated that he visited Saghatelyan a day before after which he learnt that the investigator decided not to allow any calls and visits.

Yenokyan confirmed the information to the media, noting that he has not received the decision of the investigator yet but the circumstance that the visits of his wife and child as well as calls are forbidden shows the decision being unlawful.

The attorney said the decision will be appealed upon receiving.

He also said they have already applied to the Court of Appeal to complain of arrest ruling of the first instance court.
