Armenia to establish closer cooperation with Russia in implementation of reforms in Armed Forces – Armenia’s PM
The formulation of the 8th point of the roadmap published by Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan on November 18 is – approval of the program of reforms of the Armed Forces and launch of the reforms.
This was stated by PM Pashinyan at regular cabinet sitting today.
He said intensive discussions were held over the issue for the past months and certain preliminary conclusions have been made. He said an agenda has been formed and the format of the reforms of the Armed Forces have been decided.
“Today I am planning to sign a decision on setting up a task group to be headed by minister of defense which will already form the timeframe of implementation of the concept of the reforms of the roadmap,” he said.
He said in this process they are planning to establish closer cooperation with Russia.
“We are convinced that as a result of the process this cooperation will become more effective. I am hopeful that by the time of summing up the roadmap we will bring into life at least the biggest part of the conceptual work and will start the implementation of arrangements and decisions practically,” Pashinyan said.
