Homeland party leader promises to settle issue of return of captives in few days after coming to power
Leader of Homeland party Artur Vanetsyan says he will settle the issue of return of captives in few days if comes to power.
Speaking to reporters in Baghramyan Avenue he said he officially promises that it will be matter of few days.
The ex-director of NSS said now he has no authorities to support the process.
“Personal ties, in general, have serious role. I am convinced that I will manage to settle these issues. I tried to use personal ties throughout the war for different issues,” he said, adding though that his friends told him that the issues he was raising were of inter-state nature.
He stressed that he is not fighting for power, otherwise he would not have left it.
“I am telling you, with my passed way, my experience I am able to help the country, solve the issues it is facing. We must understand that I must somehow be involved in the management of the country, but I cannot be involved in Nikol Pashinyan’s government,” he said.
Asked whether he will agree to a post offered by the authorities for return of captives, Vanetsyan said he is ready to do everything for the country but today is not the situation for him to make decisions on his own.
“I am engaged in the Homeland Salvation Movement and today the people do not demand making part of this government. The demand from us is change the prime minister, form national government,” he said.
