Participants of rally headed to President’s residence to demand disputing constitutionality of Onik Gasparyan's removal decree
Participants of the rally of Homeland Salvation Movement headed to the president’s residence.
“In this situation the position of Armenia’s president is very important. The decree on release of Chief of the General Staff of Armenian Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan is on the table of the president. He stated that he will not sign it, but it is not enough. If not signed in three days the Chief of General Staff will be considered sacked. It is necessary for the president to object in the sidelines of law as it is unconstitutional and apply to the Constitutional Court,” movement’s coordinator Ishkhan Saghatelyan stated at the rally.
He noted that everyone must demand that the president does not yield to blackmailing and clearly formulates his objection and sends the document to the CC.
