Today Armen Sarkissian gave hope to the country - ex-ambassador

To speak frankly I am very surprised, I though I have no place to be surprised, Armenia’s ex-ambassador Mikayel Minasyan wrote on Facebook, adding that he thought everyone’s masks are torn, and Armen Sargsyan is a finished person.

“But come and see that I was wrong. The army and generals demonstrated dignity, and Armen Sarkissian gave hope to the country today. The number of people in streets is a proof of it. Nothing is lost, there is dignity, there is still state, which protects people and is with the people. And the state and the people may be together,” he wrote, noting that he doesn’t know why the president decided so, because knows the huge pressures Pashinyan exerted on him.

Minasyan said the key reason of the decision was the meeting with the highest officer staff.

“They told him what Nikol-Anna couple did during the days of the war. Armen Sarkissian left shocked. Each may have his moment of truth. Armen Sarkissian probably had it yesterday,” Minasyan said, voicing hope that today’s decision will be not one episode but a starting point from which the process of removing Pashinyan from power will launch – the new start of saving the country.

“The faith increased as a result of today’s decision of the president is the evidence of it,” Minasyan wrote.
