Number of COVID-19 cases grows in Armenia, situation is worrying
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan speaking at the cabinet sitting today stated that the number of coronavirus cases grows in Armenia, adding that it is a rather worrying fact.
Health minister Anahit Avanesyan said the number has grown and 491 cases have been recorded in the past day.
The minister stressed the necessity of returning to strict compliance with preventive measures, including wearing masks.
The minister also said they starting from today works on expanding hospitals will kick off.
Avanesyan noted that 20% of the infected are in grave condition and 5% in extremely grave.
The minister also said the works on acquiring vaccines are ongoing.
“We hope to have the first batch during the spring,” she said.
The minister also said contracting the virus again is not excluded and urged everyone to wear masks.
