Released former head of NA staff describes the whole process against him as political

Former head of staff of Armenian parliament Ara Saghatelyan released today by the court described the whole process against him as political.

Speaking to reporters in the court yard today he said the authorities themselves do not understand what issues they want to solve by arresting him.

“My deep impression is that contradicting ideas periodically appear in the head of the authorities which, of course, is result of relevant agony,” he said.

“This whole process was organized by the authorities and in particular Nikol Pashinyan who is on the premier’s seat,” he said.

Saghatelyan also stressed that during the whole court session the investigator was trying to confuse the court, presenting distorted information, noting that the first instance court though was not against being confused as a result of which he appeared in jail.
