Artsakh people’s self-determination, elimination of war consequences core elements of NK conflict settlement – MFA spokesperson

Azerbaijani president’s claims that they settled the Karabakh conflict in military way once again demonstrates who is the initiator of war and use of forces, who takes the region to future destabilization and trials, Armenia’s MFA spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan told the reporters today.

“As always Azerbaijan distorts the provisions of the UN Security Council though the same resolutions express support to the Minsk Group peace process headed by the Minsk Group co-chairs,” Naghdalyan said, adding that with his statements on NK peace process Azerbaijani president opposes the positions of the international community and first of all Minsk Group co-chairmanship and the co-chair countries.

“It is clear for us that the attempt of pressures on the right of the Artsakh people to self-determination with the usage of force cannot create grounds for the settlement of the conflict. The implementation of the right to self-determination by the people of Artsakh and the elimination of the consequences of the war are core elements of the conflict settlement,” Naghdalyan said.
