Implementation of mandate by UNICEF Armenia Country Office head problematic for Armenian side – MFA spokesperson
The shortcomings in the implementation of mandate by UNICEF Armenia Country Office Head Marianne Clark-Hattingh and her non-cooperative working style was problematic for the Armenian side, Armenia’s MFA spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan told Aysor.am today.
“Therefore, the Armenian government made a decision to suspend Clark-Hattingh’s term in office as UNICEF representative in Armenia,” Naghdalyan said.
She said the UN Resident Coordinator and UNICEF representatives have been informed about the decision.
Siting its sources Mediaport reported earlier that the Armenian authorities declared UNICEF Armenia Country Office Head Marianne Clark-Hattingh persona non grata for spying in favor of Azerbaijan and Great Britain.
Clark-Hattingh became head of UNICEF Armenia Country Office in July 2020.
