Implementation of president's decree on dismissing Tiran Khachatryan from post suspended
Armenia’s Administrative court took to proceeding today the lawsuit of attorneys of first deputy Chief of General Staff Tiran Khachatryan.
The former top military official applied to the court on March 3 demanding annulling his resignation decree signed by Armenia’s president Armen Sarkissian.
The first court hearing is scheduled for April 29.
TK & Partners company representing Khachatryan’s interests in court also reported that according to Article 83 of Administrative proceedings after the court takes into proceeding the lawsuit the implementation of disputed administrative act is being suspended until the court act resolving the issue enters into force.
The lawyers state that Tiran Khachatryan has been relieved from post with numerous gross violations of the Constitution and laws and everything will be done to recognize the decree of his dismissal invalid.
