HALO Trust refutes claims about handing over Karabakh minefield maps to Turks

The HALO Trust organization issued a statement refuting claims about handing over minefield maps to the Turkish special forces.

"The HALO Trust is aware of a claim that it handed minefield maps to Turkish forces before or during the 2020 conflict over Karabakh. There is absolutely no truth to this claim. For over 20 years HALO has worked in Karabakh to make the local people safe. The HALO Trust is only able to operate in conflict zones around the world because it is totally non-political and neutral organization. The claim is totally false,” the organization said in a statement.

Earlier Artsakh president’s representative on special assignments Boris Avagyan in an interview to 24News stated that the organization making charity work in Artsakh provided Turkish special services with map of Artsakh minefields which gave the adversary an opportunity to successfully pass through the minefields during the 44-day war.
