Ex-top military official describes PM’s statements on SU-30 fighters as absurd and childish
Former Chief of General Staff Movses Hakobyan described the statement of Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan voiced in Aragatsotn province on Saturday “childish.”
On Saturday Pashinyan confirmed Hakobyan’s words voiced earlier that SU-30 SM fighters were purchased without ammunition.
Pashinyan said they have bought the jets but failed to acquire missiles before the war and stressed that if the former authorities had acquired the jets they would have acquired the missiles.
“Why didn’t the 26 year old state have fighter aviation,” Pashinyan told the residents of Ohanavan community.
“It seems to be a childish expression. Does it mean a family member must buy a bicycle for the child and the other the parts? Or you buy a car but leave the petrol for the other to buy in future. It is an absurd,” Hakobyan said.
