Over 10% economic growth to be recorded by the end of the year against 2020 – minister
Over 10% economic growth will be recorded by the end of the year against 2020, Armenia’s minister of economy Vahan Kerobyan told the reporters today.
The minister said there is big activity in the agriculture, besides big activeness is recorded in the industrial sector.
Kerobyan said last year was a year of retreat and usually, when retreat occurs every new day generates domestic result.
“We are very close to the point of restoration,” the minister said.
Kerobyan stressed that sharp decline was recorded last year in tourism sector.
“Last year in March we had no tourist, but this year we have Persians, it is Novruz and people are coming,” he said.
The minister stressed from May they are planning to enter a normal tempo.
He also added that everything should be done to avoid restrictions in the country agreed with coronavirus.
“The restrictions are very bad for the economy. As far as I am responsible for economy I will be against the restrictions, but if we see that the health system fails to serve the disease of course we must view the option of applying restrictions,” Kerobyan said.
