Russian Sputnik V vaccine receives official usage permission in Armenia
Russian Sputnik V vaccine has received official usage permission on February 1, Health Ministry spokesperson Hripsime Khachatryan told Aysor.am.
“Saying permission for usage we mean that the country’s medicine or vaccine is allowed to be used in emergency situations. Taking into account the pandemic and emergency situation in different countries all the countries are using this mechanism. The mentioned vaccine in our country, stemming from the coronavirus-related situation, has received permission to be used in emergency situations,” Khachatryan said.
She said all the countries are working with this mechanism – taking into consideration the strict necessity and the need of making rapid decisions.
Earlier former head of the pharmacy department of Healthcare and Labor Inspection Vahe Minasyan wrote on Facebook that Sputinik V is not registered in Armenia.
