Government provides over 7 bln AMD to Armenia’s Labor and Social Affairs Ministry to assist Artsakh population

Armenia’s Labor and Social Affairs Minister Mesrop Arakelyan offered the government to provide the ministry 7 bln 548 thousand AMD from the reserve fund.

He said the money will ensure the funding of 4-month long program of assistance to Artsakh Republic citizens.

“In particular, during March, April, May, June 2021 each citizen is provided 68,000 AMD except for male citizens from 18-63 age,” the minister said.

The minister noted that so far about 33 bln AMD assistance has been provided to Artsakh, decision of another 22 bln AMD assistance has been made.

“Overall, the provisions allocated and approved with the government’s decisions will make 55 bln AMD,” the minister said.

He said few hundred citizens have been left out of the program of assistance but everything will be done to make them stakeholders of the program.
