Former Chief of General Staff applies to NA to set ad hoc investigative commission to study circumstances of 44-day war
Former Chief of the General Staff of Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Onik Gasparyan has issued an application-statement addressed to the NA speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, heads of parliamentary factions and chairman of the Defense and Security Affairs Standing Committee Andranik Kocharyan.
In the application the former top military official urged to immediately initiate creation of an NA ad hoc investigative commission to study the circumstances of the 44-day war.
He stressed that the work of such commission will give opportunity to reveal the key circumstances of the war, pick important lessons, prepare more effectively for the possible future hostilities as well as discharge the heated public atmosphere.
“On my behalf I express readiness to assist utmost to the works of the future investigating commission,” he wrote.
