Armenia's Labor and Social Affairs Minister steps down
Armenia’s labor and social affairs minister Mesrop Arakelyan has submitted resignation letter.
Arakelyan stated that he assumed the post of the minister in post-war period having one goal – that is to loosen the social disaster the people are facing as a result of the war unleashed against Artsakh.
“Today we may register that Artsakh has overcome the social crisis and entered the phase of development programs and apartment building,” he said adding that the first challenges may be considered partially overcome.
Arakelyan was appointed to the post on November 20, 2020. Before the appointment he was consultant to PM Nikol Pashinyan on public basis.
