Russian PM stresses importance of unblocking regional communications during meeting with Armenia’s Pashinyan
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin met today with Armenian Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and conveyed to him the warm greetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Interfax reports.
“First of all I want to convey to you the warm greetings and best wishes from the Russian President Vladimir Putin,” he said, stressing that Russia values the fraternal relations with Armenia which are of century-long allied and strategic nature.
The head of the Russian government said the trilateral statement adopted by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia on halting hostilities in Nagorno Karabakh opened big opportunities for joint work.
“It first of all is the unblocking of all economic and transport ties, creation of new infrastructure routes. All this will create conditions for stable development of the Trans-Caucasian region,” he said.
