Artur Vanetsyan to play core role in snap elections – Homeland party spokesperson

The Council of the Homeland party made a decision to participate in upcoming snap parliamentary elections in Armenia and start the process of forming bloc with the Republican Party of Armenia following today’s imperative to remove the disastrous and defeatist regime in Armenia.

This was stated by the spokesperson of the party Sos Hakobyan at a press conference today.

“At this moment the only clear decision is forming the bloc. The list, the name of the bloc, program provisions are still being worked on and will be published after the decree on conduction of elections is signed,” he said.

He stressed that the list will comprise of people enjoying trust of people and who may be useful to the Republic of Armenia in the boundaries of their abilities.

As to the party leader Artur Vanetsyan, the spokesperson said, “Artur Vanetsyan will have a core role in the snap elections and in the whole political process as well as the leader of a force forming the bloc. But who the number one will be in the list is still a subject of discussion, there is no clarity yet.”
