Incumbent authorities do not possess toolkit for preservation of Armenia’s territorial integrity and restoration of sovereignty – RPA Executive Body
The Executive Body of Republican Party of Armenia expressed its concern over the situation created in Syunik and particularly the incursion of Azerbaijani troops into Armenian border and advancing up to 3,5km in the area of Lake Sev.
In the statement the RPA Executive Body stressed that the developments became possible due to criminal inactivity of Armenia’s defeatist authorities, their wrong assessment of the situation and deep crisis in the state governance and security systems as well as the consequence of destructive outcome of the recent war in Artsakh.
“At the same time it is necessary to record that such incidents of violation of Armenia’s territorial integrity contain escalation risks for the prevention, neutralization of which the incumbent authorities do not undertake necessary steps,” the statement runs.
“As a result Azerbaijan expands its toolkit of pressures applied against Armenia and prepares favorable ground for expecting new concessions from the Armenian side and forward new demands,” the party’s Executive Body stressed, adding that the incumbent weak authorities do not possess either domestic or external toolkit for the preservation of Armenia’s territorial integrity and restoration of the sovereignty of the state.
“The Executive Body also records that each day of tenure of the incumbent regime increases the dangers threatening Armenia and Artsakh, and the Armenian people collectively,” the statement concluded.
