Armenia’s acting PM applies to Russia’s Putin for military assistance
Armenia's acting prime minister Nikol Pashinyan applied to Russia's president Vladimir Putin for providing military assistance to Armenia.
“Russia’s representatives stated that during phone conversation yesterday I have not requested military assistance from Russia’s president, though the contract base between Armenia and Russia gives such an opportunity,” Pashinyan said at the NA today, explaining that the reason of it was the arrangement that Azeri troops would leave Armenia’s territory within a day.
“During the past day this arrangement was fulfilled partially. There are places where Azerbaijani armed forces left, but as far as the arrangement has not been fulfilled completely I have applied to president of Russia today with a letter to provide military assistance to Armenia in accordance with 1997 friendship cooperation and mutual assistance agreement,” Pashinyan noted.
