Bright Armenia head says authorities are in shadow negotiations, urges Pashinyan not sign controversial documents

The authorities lied for 44 days during the war and were manipulating the people, convincing that we were winning, but at the end it appeared that we were not winning at all, but even were being crushed and defeated, head of Bright Armenia faction Edmon Marukyan wrote on Facebook today.

“The authorities were convincing the people that without taking into consideration their opinion no decision could have been made in Karabakh conflict settlement issue while at the end it became clear that the country’s prime minister in a hidden way, secretly from his teammates and all others signed a document,” Marukyan wrote, registering that no one knows what is happening now.

The deputy stressed that not having picked up lessons from the war the authorities are again in shadow negotiations and again do not inform the people about the fate they will be facing.

He stressed that the people are in uncertainty with residents of Syunik, Gegharkunik, Tavush, Vayots Dzor and Ararat provinces not knowing what may happen with them tomorrow.

Marukyan urged the acting PM and members of the government speak with people and explain in detail the real course of things.

The comments followed the publication made by Armenia’s former ambassador Mikayel Minasyan who says that Pashinyan has reached arrangement with Aliyev to give Azerbaijan corridor through Syunik and noted that a new document will be prepared and pre-signed by June 30.
