Armenia’s Acting PM should not make single-person decisions – Edmon Marukyan

The acting Prime Minister cannot with his signature put into force a document that may enter into force exclusively as a result of ratification of the parliament or referendum, head of Bright Armenia faction Edmon Marukyan said at extraordinary parliament session today.

“At the same time the works of delimitation and demarcation relates to each citizen of Armenia and particularly rights of residents of the border relating to which any international document is to be ratified,” Marukyan said.

Any document on demarcation process which will not take into consideration the rights of people, will directly contradict the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, international right of human rights, state interest of Armenia, will be continuation of violation of fundamental rights of border residents like it happens today.

Marukyan said they urge the acting PM to refrain from making single-person decisions relating to the whole public and the state and the future of the nation.
