Armenia’s incumbent authorities make people believe that new war will launch if they lose the power – expert
The thesis of the authorities - if the lands are not handed over, concessions are not made a war will start - transformed many times during the past 8 months, head of Henaket think-tank Tigran Abrahamyan wrote on Facebook today.
“He stressed that with that “reasoning” Karvatchar, Akna, Kashatagh, later Kovsakan, Sanasar sectors which were under Armenia’s control as of November 9 together with few villages of Hadrut region were handed over,” Abrahamyan wrote.
He stressed in the election phase this thesis is, with different transformations, being used to convince the people that if they lose and the opposition comes to power after the elections a new war will start.
“This is not only a tendency to do their black work by frightening, confusing the people, using their emotions but opens a way for other territorial losses,” the expert said, adding that for the healthy sector of the society it is not the time to reprimand each other, accuse one another, but there is a need to gather all the forces to explain, convince and tell the truth to the people with different tools.
He said it does not matter how it will be – through rallies, actions, meetings on spot – the most important is to implement the function of making the truth reach the people.
