Iran’s FM hopes his meetings in Azerbaijan, Armenia to promote resolution of the created crisis
Iran wants peace be established in the region, the country’s Foreign Affairs Minister Javad Zarif said at the meeting with Armenia’s Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today.
“We have always talked about peaceful settlements of territorial integrity, sovereignty and crises. The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly highlights the respect to the international right. To solve the recent issues within these circles three visits were organized to Armenia from our country. The first visit was mine, after me our special representative-envoy and now again I am visiting Armenia,” the Iranian minister said, expressing regret over the victim from the Armenian side as a result of the new escalation of the situation.
“Yesterday I had a very detailed and substantiated conversation with the president of Azerbaijan. I hope our today’s meeting, as well as the meeting with my respectful counterpart will promote the resolution of the crisis,” Iran’s FM said.
