Armenia ready to relocate troops at any moment – Acting PM
Now there is an opportunity to very quickly de-escalate the situation, Armenia’s acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the meeting with his supporters today, referring to the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
He said he hails the yesterday’s statement of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.
“We are ready to at any moment start the process of withdrawal of the troops, in particular, I am speaking about Sotk-Khoznavar section where we have some tension,” Pashinyan said.
He stressed that Armenia is also ready to fully resume the negotiations in the sidelines of the co-chairmanship to reach settlement of the Karabakh issue.
Earlier at the Security Council session Armenia’s acting PM proposed the international community and Azerbaijan to withdraw the troops reciprocally in a mirror-way.
Instead Pashinyan offered deploying observers from Russia or other OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries.
