Our authorities did everything to darken our relations with CSTO – Robert Kocharyan
Armenia must have quite dense positions along the entire line of contact and if they are few and are deep in the territory of own country, naturally the Azeris will advance, improve their positions, accommodate to the territory, Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan, candidate from “Armenia” bloc said in an interview to the Russian RBC.
He said feeling as a winner Azerbaijan obviously applies aggression against Armenia’s territory.
Referring to the possibility for Azerbaijan to get corridor to Nakhichevan, Kocharyan said that if the incumbent authorities remain Azeris may do it, the only restricting circumstance for them is Russia’s military presence and the existence of bilateral agreement with the Russian side.
The second president also referred to the CSTO, adding that his expectations are not much.
“I don’t have big expectations from the CSTO, and I say it publicly. Unfortunately, our authorities did everything to darken our relations with the CSTO,” he said.
Referring to domestic political developments, Kocharyan voiced conviction that Nikol Pashinyan will not manage to form authorities after snap parliamentary elections.
The second president excluded cooperation with Pashinyan or anyone from his team.
“Any cooperation with the people who brought the country to this condition is categorically excluded,” the second president said.
